Hoi An defies description. MY SON SANCTUARY

One of Southeast Asia’s foremost Hindu temple complexes, My Son has architectural echoes of its Cambodian counterpart, Angkor Wat. In a densely jungled valley, modern and ancient histories collide in the juxtaposition of the 4th- to 14th-century ruins with the huge craters left by the bombs of the Vietnam War.
THE IMPERIAL CITY OF HUE

This former imperial capital is an open-air museum of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Highlights include The Citadel – a three-walled palace fortress, encircled by a moat from the Perfume River; 7-storey Thien Mu Pagado, the country’s highest; and Tu Duc’s vast 12-hectare (30-acre), 50-building tomb complex, dotted with gardens and lakes.
30-minute drive from the Resort
Explore caves, tunnels and temples within this cluster of five marble hills, each named after the five universal elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). Discover beautiful pagodas, colourful frescoes and sky-lit grottos dripping with water believed to be an offering from heaven.
If snorkelling or diving are on your itinerary, then the Cham Islands are a must-visit. This group of eight islets offer the most active and colourful marine life in Vietnam. The main Cham Island is also home to soft squeaky sand beaches – with corals around the rock areas as well as unique jungle terrain to explore. You can easily organize a day trip by speed boat from the resort.
BACH MA NATIONAL PARK

During the French occupation, colonialists favoured the forest reserves of Bach Ma for their residences – with the mountain providing cool respite from the tropical heat.

The Cham Museum was built in 1915 with the financial support of the French Far-East Research Institute in Vietnam. This museum houses the most extensive collection of Cham art worldwide. The Cham Museum was built in Cham architectural style, using thin lines that are simple and gentle. Cham architecture originates from the period between the 5th and 15th centuries, when a matriarchal society prevailed.
20-minutes drive from the Resort
Located 35kms from Villa Orchid Garden Riverside, Montgomerie Links has been designed to capitalise on its close proximity to both the warm, tranquil East Sea and the striking Marble Mountains — which are clearly visible from various points on the course. This course is truly a must with all Golfers.
2-hours drive from the Resort
Another former colonial residential area Bana Hills is now a major tourist attraction within the Danang province. Located on Chúa (The Queen) Mountain in the Truong Son Mountain range – only 30km from Danang city – you catch a cable car across a jungle canopy to the Bana Hills resort, a recently developed theme park. While it might not suit everyone’s taste, the view on a clear day from the cable car is magnificent and there are some quaint nature walks and pagodas to discover around the lower part of the mountain.
PHUOC HAI FISHING VILLAGE

Experience an authentic and illuminating window into the local way of life in Phuoc Hai village. Try your hand at traditional fishing techniques; learn to paddle – and then race – a Vietnamese bamboo basket boat; and cruise the tranquil palm-flanked waterways of the Cua Dai River listening to community tales.
