Early on September 17th, storm Nuol increased by one level, with the strongest wind of 100 km / h (levels 9-10), the possibility of hitting central coast of Vietnam included in Quang Nam - Da Nang tomorrow afternoon.

The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasts said that last night the storm went faster, at a speed of 25 km per hour. At 4:00 AM this morning, the storm center was about 380 km southeast from Hoang Sa archipelago.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of Climate Forecast Department, National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, explained that storms increase due to being energized by warm East Sea and strong monsoon from South West.

About the landing time, 80% of the chance that the storm would keep the Northwest direction, until around 4:00 am tomorrow morning on 18th of September 2020 due to the impact of cold air pouring down from the north, it would almost go sideways, entering Quang Binh - Quang Ngai area at noon
